Genre Videos

I chose this video as it represents the dark, twisted theme which i hope to adopt into my magazine. This video uses my three colours of red, black and white. The band the Horrors are a typical emo, indie band. As these are sub genres for my magazine i think that this magazine gives an insight into the media interests of my audience.



This video by My Chemical Romance uses black and white colours really well. I think I will use this aspect on my front cover model. The lyrics in this song show the genre is usually dark and depressed, and struggling with love. With this knowledge i can adapt my article to attract this audience so that the remaining magazine will appeal to the right genre.



This Music Video by LostProphets is useful is showing the wide range of music used. This is different to the other two videos. I like the idea of objects in situ. Such as the glass from the building. In my magazine i hope to have the shadow of flying crows coming in from the top right hand corner.



This is a clip from the Mighty Boosh, a cult Tv show loved by typical rock fans. They enjoy this as it expresses their culture publically like fashion and hairstyles. There are two opposite stereotypical characters. Including within this are unique styles of singing known as "crimping" the popularity of this is shown as it has featured within marketing such as Sugar Puff adverts.
