As my magazine is rock music based i have decided to experiment on whether rock images such as Festivals, Guitars, Amplifiers e.t.c would work well on a front cover or double page spread. I could work with a continuous arrangement of guitars on a coloured background similar to the film posters for alice in wonderland. To produce this picture i retrieved a picture of daft punk from flickr. I then used a gradient tool, painting the background red and having streaks of black, which produces a lighting effect. After this i got an image from a pre-installed clip art application of a les paul guitar, i duplicated this image and positioned the images to match and not to over power the gradient background. I then magnetic lasoo'd daft punk and subtracting interior sections such as the inner part of the arms. I then copied and pasted this onto the background and edited the size using Ctrl+T. To finish i re-positioned this.
Another possibility is too use a giant amp for a background, this would work well if i had a white layer around this image so the model would stand out alot more
